35th Statehood day celebrated in Lower Dibang Valley district

Roing, 20th Feb, 2021 : The 35th Statehood day was celebrated with much pomp and gaiety at Roing General ground today. The ADC, Roing Shri Tapik Pertin unfurled the national flag amidst a colossal public gathering. The ADC in his address extended warm greetings of 35th Statehood day to the denizens of the district and highlighted the significance of celebrating the day. Speaking on the occasion, he said that our state is blessed with diverse culture and traditions and that we must embrace, respect and preserve the diversity.
A spectacular and colourful cultural dance presentation from various self help groups made the occasion more lively. Prizes were distributed to the winners of best exhibition stalls and cultural dance troops. Shri Mukut Mithi, Ex MP, HoDs, PRI members etc among others were present on the occasion.
The Statehood day was also celebrated in all the admin outposts viz. Dambuk, ADC hq, Parbuk and Hunli SDO hq and Koronu, CO hq in a befitting manner.
In Parbuk SDO Hq, newly elected GBs of Ithili and Idili were felicitated on the occasion. At Desali circle, the remotest admin outpost of the district, unlike any other year , the celebration was attended by the 43rd Roing, MLA, Shri Mutchu Mithi, DC, Roing Shri K N Damo, SP, J K Lego, ZPM of Hunli Desali block, and other PRI members, SDO Hunli, CO Desali and the HODs of the district among others.
