70th Republic Day Celebrated at Roing and Across Lower Dibang Valley District.

Roing, Jan 27:  The 70th Republic Day of the Nation was celebrated at Roing and across the Lower Dibang Valley district, in a befitting manner. In the district headquarter Roing, the Deputy Commissioner Mitali Namchoom  (IAS) hoisted the National flag, in the presence of MP Mukut Mithi, GBs, public leaders, HoDs, Administrative Officers, students and public of the place.

Addressing the gathering, the DC highlighted the achievements of the government like completion of cent percent immunisation under Mission Indradhanush, successful conduct of 10 Sarkar Aapke Dwar camps which have benefitted thousands, Beginning of a Start up Hub at Roing and many more development activities.

She spoke on the need for the society to provide guidance to the youth through inculcating pro social behavior through gainful employment, active engagement in the community, parental guidance and empathetic response from a caring society.

A Pledge on ethical voting was administered by the DC during the occassion. A cultural competition on the theme ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ and a Sarkar Aap Ke Dwar camp was also organised on the day. The day also saw a display of Pole Malkham by students of V. K. V. Roing and distribution of prizes to the winners by the Deputy Commissioner and MP.
