Deputy Commissioner K. N. Damo stressed on an inclusive and successful Routine Immunisation and COVID 19 vaccination campaign in the district, stating that the numbers are reflected and taken as parameters in the sustainable development goals of the UN.
Speaking on the active COVID 19 cases in the district, he said that we shouldn’t become complacent but should continue to follow the SoP. The DC advised the MOs to track the persons belonging to the neighbouring state who were vaccinated with the first dose in our vaccine centres and extend all possible support for their second dose. He also advised all the counsellors to give counselling and track the health of all the positive cases under home isolation and encouraged doctors to proactively monitor the cases.
DMO Dr. R. Tatan informed that LDV has 2.18 % case positivity rate and 30 positive cases under home isolation. He advised all the MOs to collect the travel history of COVID 19 positive people to get a sense of whether the cases are brought from outside or from within the district itself.
DRCHO Dr. R. Mena briefed on Routine Immunisation and COVID 19 vaccination numbers of the district. The district has covered 94% of the population under 1st dose and 50% have been fully vaccinated by the COVID 19 vaccination.
