Amrit Kalash Yatra MMMD LDV

Roing, Aug 18: A block level programme of “Meri Maati Mera Desh-Mitti Ko Naman Veeron Ka Vandan” was conducted for Roing Koronu CD Block today with DC Soumya Saurabh, ADC Srinivas Sadi, PD Kabang Apum, Heads of Offices, students, armed forces personnel and public joining in at the Govt. Higher Secondary School, Roing.

The MMMD campaign celebrates the achievements of the nation and the Bravehearts through ‘Jan Bhagidari’ with events conducted at village, Panchayat, Block, District, State and National Level. It is a culmination of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations.

An ‘Amrit Kalash Yatra’ was conducted from Rayang, Mayu II and Cheta to GHSS, Roing to collect ‘Mitti’ from Panchayats/Villages and bring it to the Block level, which would further be sent to the state and National level. A plantation programme was also conducted on the day.
