Cannabis Destruction Drive Carried Out In Bizari Village

Roing, Nov 19: A Cannabis destruction drive was carried out in the surrounding areas of Bizari village under Dambuk subdivision in the Lower Dibang Valley district by a joint team comprising the Department of Tax and Excise, Department of Environtment & Forest and the General Administration on 18th November 2021.

The Police team prepared for the operation in advance and led it meticulously, destroying and burning around 5 acres of illegally cultivated plots of cannabis. Such anti drug drives are undertaken by the District Administration of Lower Dibang Valley in a bid to curb cannabis and ganja production.

The team comprised of EAC (Dambuk) Olom Panggeng, RFO (Dambuk Forest Range) Rajen Linggi, ADO (Koronu) Kato Tayeng, Superintendant (Tax and Excise) K.Dai, AE (PHED) T.Darang, AE (PWD) Abu Pertin, Police team led by SDPO (Dambuk) W. Ramwa along with officials, RFO (Roing Range) B. Koyu, RFO (Shantipur Range) K Tayeng along with staff, Inspectors (Tax and Excise) N. Pasing and Habung Sinyo and women SHG of BIZARI.
