Covid-19 Vaccination status reviewed

30th March, 2021 : A follow up meeting of the District Task Force committee in regards to Routine immunization (RI), Covid -19 Vaccination, NDD, IDCF was held in the DC’s conference hall, DC office, Roing today.

The full immunization status, Covid -19 vaccination update, AEFI status, Co-win 2.0 facility wise update of the district was reviewed in the meeting.

Dr Raju Mena, DRCHO through a PowerPoint presentation gave an overview of the National Deworming day (NDD) and Intensive Diarrhoea Control Fortnight (IDCF). He informed that, this year due to Covid -19, the Asha and Anganwadi workers will be mobilized to carry out house to house visit for implementation of both the programmes. Sensitization of covid-19 vaccination will also be carried out simultaneously by them to improve the turn up for taking the vaccine.

The DC, K N Damo, who was chairing the meeting expressed disappointment on the Covid 19 vaccination status of the district and said that more publicity is required at the grass root level to sensitize the public. He exhorted that fixing responsibility on the concern Administrative officers, PRI members and CBOs is needed for achieving the target. A coordination meeting with all the HODs, PRI members, CBOs will be held shortly to gear up the vaccination turn up in the district, he informed. He also sought suggestions from all the members present to improve the progress of the vaccination turn up in the district.

All the District task force committee members were present in the meeting.
