Cyclothon Creating Awareness on ‘Transparent Taxation’ held

Roing, Dec 10: An cyclothon cum awareness Rally on transparent taxation was held from Meka to Bomjir in Lower Dibang Valley district today. The programme was organised by the department of Income tax and saw the participation of cyclists from Jorhat, Dibrugarh, local cyclists and members of Roing Raptors cycling club.

Deputy Commissioner K. N. Damo, addressing the participants spoke on the importance of taxation for the state. He also stressed on the need to stay healthy and fit.

SP J. K. Lego, ZPC Obang Ngupok and ZPM Tony Borang also spoke on the occasion and advised the youth to stay away from drugs and alcohol.

Chief Commissioner (Income tax NE region, Guwhati) Raju Tayeng met cyclists from the district Rubi lombo, Ahondo Menjo and Suto Linggi. During his brief interaction Raju Tayeng assured to arrange sponsors through the department for the cyclists future competitions.

Chief Commissioner Raju Tayeng, Principal Commissioners N. Longvah and G. G. Kamei, Director A. Gimson and Commissioner Sushil Kumar from the Income Tax department were present on the occasion.
