Drugs free village

Roing, Aug 8: People of LDV pledge to make every village in the district a ‘Drugs Free Village’ with the successful conduct of Special Gram sabhas in all the village Gram Panchayats from 6th to 8th August 2022.

The main highlight of the Gram sabhas was to discourage cultivation of poppy and marijuana and to help the District administration in combating Drugs menace by Forming Village Level Anti Narcotics Committees, monitoring drugs usage and supply within the village jurisdiction.

The response from the villagers has been overwhelming and the work put in by the appointed Nodal officers in making the Gram Sabhas a success has been tremendous.
