Fit India Movement Celebrated at Roing

Roing, Jan 18: The Fit India Movement was celebrated today at Roing with a mass rally taken out displaying playcards and banner for awareness on fitness. The rally was attended by 80 SHG Members from Rayang, Mayu I & II, Ezengo, Intaya, Asali, Maselo and Cheta and the Arunachal State Rural Livelihood Mission, Block Mission Management Unit, Roing.

Dr. A. Reheman(SMO) attending the programme spoke about the importance of being fit. He explained how regular walk for few minutes can built a healthy life and suggested having healthy food such as easily available banana, eggs etc and to avoid junk food.

William Lahary, Block Mission Manager, Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission gave an introduction of the Fit India Movement and its objectives.

Sports Competitions such as spoon and marble race, 3 legged race, sack race and tug of war between 4 Primary Level Federations was conducted. Prizes were distributed to the winners of the competitions.
