Interaction Programme on Gram Swaraj Abhiyan Held at Roing

Roing, April 18: An interaction programme with the Central Observers of Gram Swaraj Abhiyan was held at the Reko, Mayu II today as a part of Swachh Bharat Day celebrations.

Central Observers Mahindra Pratap and Sudhir Kr Sinha of Govt. of India interacted with the public, NGOs, Panchayat leaders, bank managers of SBI, BOI and HDFC and HoDs. They were informed about the status and implementation of centrally sponsored schemes in the Lower Dibang Valley district and heard the grievances and feedback of the public regarding the schemes.

The Central observers made the observation that the banks should inform the public about the central schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana etc so that the public can take advantage of it. They also urged the banks to increase the number of beneficiaries under the insurance schemes of the government.

ADC Cheshta Yadav informed the public on the Gram Swaraj Abhiyan which has been launched as an outreach programme to deliver welfare schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Ujala scheme, Saubhagya, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Mission Indradhanush to the masses.

The observers also made village visits and a Swatchta Rally was also held on the day.
