Jt Director’s intensive 2 days school visit

Roing, Nov’ 7: An intensive 2 days school tour programme for Lower Dibang Valley district was undertaken by Jt. Director of Secondary Education Marken Kadu along with DDSE Ego Doye, BEOs and ISSE Coordinator on 6th and 7th November 2019.

The team visited G. H. S. Schools Roing, Bolung and Dambuk and G. S. Schools Roing, Mayu, Jia and Parbuk. During the course of school tours, the Jt. Director interacted with the Head of Schools, PGTs, TGTs, PETs and students. He had an intensive discussion on various academic issues like Pre Board Examination, criterion of 33 % minimum attendance, availability/ shortage of subject teachers, text books, lab equipments, sports items, timely completion of syllabus, academic progress and quality enhancement issues.

He advised the students and teachers to follow moral values, be punctual, sincere and hard working and have mutual love and respect for each other. He noted down the problems faced by the schools and assured all possible help.

One pertinent issue which needed immediate attention, according to him, was the early release of funds in connection with the running of the 50 Bedded Model Residential Hostel, Mayu. He was quite impressed and satisfied with the functioning of the hostel despite non release of the funds since long and the liabilities incurred by the department.

He also visited the girls hostel running temporarily in a rented building, the ongoing construction site of upcoming boys and girls hostel in the compound of Govt. Secondary School Mayu, Roing.
