Meeting of District Task Force and Block Task Force on BBBP Held

DD(ICDS) G.A. Perying briefed on the activities calendar for National Girl Child week for the year 2020 in the Lower Dibang Valley district. She instructed the CDPOs to start door to door joint campaign with Anganwadi Workers and ASHA Workers in every Anganwadi Centre and village in the district. She also informed the members that the prizes for any competition organised will be given during the Republic Day Celebration.
The Beti Bacho Beti Padhao pledge was also taken during the meeting.
As per the activities calendar, the National Girl Child Week will begin on 20th January 2020 with a District Task Force (DTF)/Block Task Force (BTF) meeting, Signature/Pledge ceremony and BBBP Oath Taking ceremony. The second day will see the beginning of the Door to Door joint campaign with AWW & ASHA workers who will Paste BBBP Stickers with message on every visited houses/public building /Panchayat office etc.
Programmes with schools (Govt/Private) on value of Girl child will be held. The schools will witness slogan writing, drawing and painting competitions. Doctors will give talks on Health and Nutrition, PC&P NDT Act, Legal Rights including POSCO Act, JJB Act, Sexual Harassment etc to create awareness amongst school children on 22nd January 2020.
Tree plantation in the name of girl child, community meetings on BBBP, sensitisation programme with religious leaders/community leaders will be conducted on 23rd January 2020. Local champions will be identified and engaged in the awareness Programmes.
A photo book on the journey of BBBP will be developed and released, birthday celebration of girl children and felicitation of the parents at District and Village Level will be done on 24th January 2020. Awareness by BBBP local champions at Village level will be done the next day.
On 26th January 2020, nukkad nataks/street plays will be performed, felicitation of local champions/brand ambassadors of BBBP, best frontline worker, supervisors, girl achievers in sports, academics etc will be done.
