Meeting to discuss the celebration of Independence Day 2021
Publish Date : 31/07/2021
It was decided that the celebration would be simple, without public gathering and with social distancing and COVID appropriate behaviour followed.
Speaking on the occasion, DC K. N. Damo informed the gathering about the COVID 19 status of the district and appreciated the efforts put in by all to bring down the COVID 19 positive numbers and positivity rate. He stated that maintenance of SoP is the only way to keep lockdown at bay. The Roing town area is especially vulnerable as the virus is still around and so we still need to strictly follow the night curfew hours, social distancing and masking and need to get all eligible people vaccinated at the earliest, he added.
The DC also spoke on the drugs menace and said that it can destroy families and is a great challenge to root out if it takes hold. He cautioned all government servants against its use.
