MP Lays Foundation Stone for Scout/ Guide Camping Park

Roing, Nov 8: The Bharat Scout/ Guide celebrated its Foundation Day at the newly developed Scout/ Guide Camping Park at Roing, Lower Dibang Valley district on 7 th November 2018. MP (Rajya Sabha) Mukut Mithi laid the foundation stone of the Scout/ Guide Camping Park in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Mitali Namchoom( IAS) DDSE Ego Doye, State Organizing Commissioner( Scout) Prafullo Kalita and others.

MP Mukut Mithi praised the Scout/ Guides for instilling discipline at an early age and preparing them for a life of service and community development. The MP also assured to help in the construction of boundary wall and tent base from MPLAD fund.

DC Mitali Namchoom promised to extend all possible help for the promotion of scouting/ guiding activity in the district.

DDSE Ego Doye and DTO (Scout) Somit Mitra also spoke on the occassion .

Club Bulbul and Scout/ Guide presented a cultural programme, first aid demonstration and storytelling. About 400 Club Bulbul and Scouts/ Guides attended the programme along with their Flock Leaders, Club Masters, Guide Captains and Scoutmasters from different schools of the district.

Prizes were also distributed to the achievers of District Level Club Bulbul Utsav 2018. Prize for Overall performance was bagged by Govt. Upper Primary School Cheta, Best Bulbul by Govt. Sec. School Mayu and best cub by Govt. Upper Primary School Ezengo.
