Statehood Day Celebrated Across Lower Dibang Valley District

The ADC, in his message to the public, spoke on the political evolution of the state and the unity of the different tribes residing in the state. He also said that the the district was fortunate in seeing development and good road connectivity in the recent times.
The day also saw an exhibition of local produce and handicrafts cum food mela put up by 10 Self Help Groups, which was organised by the DD, ICDS, Roing. The Fire Services, Roing organised a demonstration and awareness programme on firefighting.
A cultural programme was also presented on the occassion. ADC Tapik Pertin, MP Mukut Mithi and SP S. K. Sain presented appointment orders of newly appointed GBs of the area, prizes to the participants of the day’s events and prizes for an essay writing competition organised by the Police department during the road safety week.
The Dambuk Sub division saw the conduct of a Sarkar Aap Ke Dwar camp alongside the Statehood day celebrations today at Dambuk. MLA Gum Tayeng and ADC Rujjum Rakshap distributed benefits to the beneficiaries and presented the newly appointed Gaon Burahs of the area with their appointment orders.
