SVEEP quiz competition conducted

Roing, May 4: A quiz competition amongst the students of various colleges and institutions of higher education in the district was organised today under the SVEEP (Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation) programme by the District Election Office, Roing.

The students of Jomin Tayeng Govt. Degree College, DIET Roing, Govt Polytechnic College and Kasturba Gandhi B.Ed College participated in the said quiz competition.

The event has been organized to spread awareness and promote voter literacy amongst the new young voters of the district. SVEEP activities aim at preparing the young electors and equipping them with the basic knowledge related to the electoral process. A detailed scheduled/action plan under the SVEEP activities to be conducted in the district focussing on school and college students especially the new voters had been prepared. Many literary events shall be organized in the district in the coming days.
