Training cum Input Distribution Programme Conducted

Roing, Aug 31: A training cum input distribution programme under North East Hilly Region was organised today by Central Agricultural University, Pasighat and Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Balek. 11 farmers participated in the programme and were provided with different inputs- flower pot, coco peat mixture, spade etc.

Dr. Sunil Kumar (Professor, CAU Pasighat) informed about the scientific cultivation practices of floricultural crops e.g. tuberose, orchid, dahalia, chrysanthemum, gladiolus, bouquet making etc. He also elaborated about the different common tools and implements used in horticulture.

V.K. Pandey (Subject Matter Specialist Horticulture) elaborated about the district’s potential in field of Horticulture and its way of proper utilization for the socio economic development of farmers.
