About us

The department of Agriculture actively involved in implementation of scheme related to development of Agriculture and upliftment of livelihood of the farmer by introducing HYV/good quality seed in farmer field other activity involved farm mechanization in the District through which farm implement such as Tractor, Power Tiller, Rotavator, Pump set (Diesel), Solar Pump set were distributed to the farmers on subsidy basis. other activity such as construction of wayside market shed, construction of vermicompost unit in selected villages were also carried out to facilitate the marketing facility as well as production of vermicompost for use in Agriculture field.

Beside other activity, the department is also involve in plantation of Oil Palm in the District in which Oil Palm seedling were distributed on subsidy basis along with maintenance cost for seedling and inter culture crop for raising different crops in the Oil Palm field.

Also department actively involved in distribution summer/winter vegetable seed to boost vegetable cultivation in the District
