E-Governance is the use of Information Technology and Communication Technologies to improve efficiency, convenience, accessibility and transparency in Government. e-Governance shall monitor and manage the e-Governance Applications and various Projects in the District. The various projects of the department are CPGRAMS, SWAN, e-office. The office has been entrusted for the issue of various documents like the e-ILP, Jeevan Praman, Income certificate.

One of the key initiatives in the area of e-Governance is the ‘e-Office’. This is also a part of the ‘Digital India’ programme of the Government of India. The department is the nodal Department for implementation of e-Office project in the district. So far a total of 32 Office/Branches in the district have been covered under this programme. Apart from above, the deparment performs various duties from time to time as entrusted by the higher authorities.
