Election meetings conducted by DEO

Roing, March 6: A series of Election related meetings was convened by the District Election Officer Soumya Saurabh on 5th March 2024.

In a meeting with the Lead District Manager and the representatives of all the public and private banks in the district. The DEO emphasised on the critical role played by the banks in keeping a vigil on the election-related expenditure in the upcoming General Elections to Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh. In addition, the DEO also briefed the attendees regarding the submission of daily reports on suspicious cash withdrawals, according to the directions of the Election Commission of India (ECI).

Another meeting to review the preparedness of District Nodal Officers appointed to carry out election related activities/ duties was also conducted by the DEO. She reviewed the activities carried out under Manpower Management, Training Management, Material Management, Transport Management, Computerization,

Cyber Security and IT, SVEEP, Law and Order, Vulnerability Mapping and Security Plan, EVM Management, Model Code of Conduct, Expenditure Monitoring, Ballot Paper, Postal Ballot and ETPBMS, Media, Communication, Electoral Roll, Complaint Redressal and Voter Helpline and Observer in the district and instructed all the District Nodal Officers to be in readiness for the forthcoming elections.

In the meeting with Telecom Service Providers (TSPs), the DEO reviewed the status of mobile network availability at Polling stations, internet connectivity at the counting centre, passed instructions to rectify mobile helpline number and trace out the mobile network connected polling stations nearest to shadow area polling stations to ensure immediate reporting on poll day.

The DEO instructed all TSPs to keep in readiness all material required for uninterrupted functioning of network towers during the election period.
